João Lucas Mouta Aguiar's film "Qiang Chisel" tells the story of a sculptor's simple yet resilient approach to life, Patrick Antonjuk's film "Still Return" illustrates the meaning of "the way to simplicity" with images of the beauty of an ancient village in Huizhou, Louisa Phung films with her mobile phone to demonstrate the preparation of stinky Mandarin fish in "Pool of Plenty", exploring the unique tongue-twisting delicacies of Huizhou. Paula Ferreira Loffler presents the love of life of an "ordinary" person and his mission to deliver the mail in "Liàng", and Alexandra Pärn creates the film "The Tiger", which tells the story of a couple's everyday life in an ordinary and cosy way. In "A Soul of Porcelain", young foreign director Weeraddana Chathuri Priyanka De Silva steps into the camera and uses the clues of "shaping, polishing, coloring, and acceptance" to reshape her attitude towards life on a journey of searching for a foreign culture. Annika Väljataga created the film "To Love and Let Live" to express people's remorse about love, open-mindedness, and searching for answers to love. Ipek Ertan's film "The Concubine's Destiny" features Fang Quanfu and his daughter, Fang Xin, as the protagonists of the film, illuminating the voice of Huizhou Opera; and Polly Marie Annette Myra Harrison's film "STEPPING STONES" features Hu Bin, his father, Hu Qiusheng, and aunt, Hu Shuixian, writing about the charm of Shexian inkstone. The film "NIÚ" created by Diogo Manuel Martins da Palma goes beyond the superficial beauty of ancient villages and explores the humanistic spirit of "diligence, simplicity, and hard work" represented by cows and the spirit of wood carving inheritor, Wang Dehong, which is conveyed in the film. The film explores the humanistic spirit of "hard work, simplicity and hard work" represented by the ox and the craftsman's heart conveyed by woodcarver Wang Dehong, and goes into the cultural history of Huizhou.

Zhang Yuqiang, a professor at the Communication University of China and President of Communication University of China Press, as well as Deputy Editor of Modern Publishing and contributing editor of Modern Communication, is also a researcher at the State Key Laboratory of Media Convergence Communication and National Communication Innovation Center. Marta Pulk, a foreign advisor for "Looking China" and an Estonian filmmaker, provided commentary on the works. The film creation process involved Chinese and Western youth using emotion, heart, and effort to explore aesthetics in daily life while drawing strength from Chinese culture, showcasing the powerful combination of "truth" and "beauty". Zhang Yuqiang believes that the discussion on Chinese culture by both Chinese and Western young people is an exploration into world culture which allows them to find cultural similarities through exchange despite regional or language restrictions. Marta Pulk mentioned that both Chinese and Western youth gained valuable insights into Chinese culture during this activity.

In 2024, the "Looking China Youth Film Project" with the theme "Beautiful Walks · Delicious · Beautiful scenery," invited 10 foreign young directors from Canada, Estonia, among other countries to Anhui for 17 days to create documentaries with assistance from Chinese youth. Together they completed a total of 11 documentaries focusing on various aspects such as stinky mandarin fish to Hui opera performances; narrating life attitudes while absorbing strengths from Chinese culture - all closely centered around food delicacies and beautiful sceneries in Anhui. This brought forth a visual feast transcending time and space, tastes the years and touches the beauty within China's land. Thus marking a perfect conclusion for the 2024 "Looking China Youth Film Project ·Anhui."
